Bangerang Country

Completed 2018

(project currently on hold)

Regional Design Service were approached by Federation Council to produce a Concept Masterplan for the upgrade of Corowa's main street.

With an extremely tight budget and short timeframe in which to produce a design, we were able to provide something we felt offered a connection to the close-by river precinct. This is reflected in the selection of native shade trees and grasses.

Similarly,  we identified a lack of furniture and planting which facilitated communication between people,  or which offered shade or enjoyment of the seasons. This drove the selection of furniture product and arrangement thereof.

We acknowledge the Bangerang, Wiradjuri, Jaitmatang and Waveroo people on whose country we work and create.

We also acknowledge the traditional custodians throughout Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander lands where our projects are placed. We recognise their ongoing connection to country, land and waters that were never ceded and pay our respects to Elders, past, present and emerging.
