STUDIO AND GALLERY

Bangerang Country

Commercial Architecture / Interiors

Completed 2019

Welcome to our home and your new 'living room' in the centre of Corowa.

Late 2019 we moved into our new open plan studio and gallery. With a wealth of space on offer we have created a space that is open to all in our community. Somewhere community groups can gather, a place for professional and creative workshops as well as the work we undertake.

The building is the former home of a dress shop, pharmacy, beauty parlour and more. With our new home we wanted create a contemporary workplace whilst keeping our impact on the environment to a minimum. Many of the materials taken out of the former shop we're reused or donated. Corowa Men's Shed helped take down over 100 fluoro light fittings which they'll be reusing for their new workshops!

The shelving of our sample library came with the building and had been sitting out in the weather for almost 20 years. After a few hours (days) of scrubbing 1970's anodised brackets and filthy glass shelves they we're ready to be reused.

Even our new furniture is all second hand... our workstations came from Living Edge's former Melbourne Showroom and recently added meeting chairs were stripped out of a Collins Street Legal Practice. Proving that well designed and original furniture is built to stand the test of time!

If you are interested in exhibiting in our gallery please get in touch. Likewise, if you want to host and event, meeting or workshop please drop us a line.

We can't wait to share it with you all.
