About The Event

Regional Design Service is excited to present the second in a series of talks and events about the Context, Process and Value of Design.

Based on the enthusiasm and popular demand from our first event we will be exploring the Brutalist Movement.

The Brutalist style grew out of the Modernist movement and the term originates from the use of ‘beton brut’ by Modernist Architect Le Corbusier. Flourishing from 1951 to 1975 the style has seen a resurgence in admirers whilst continuing to weather harsh criticism and demolition.

Enjoy a glass wine on arrival (with fabulous cheeses) before the talk begins (15:30 sharp). Feel free to stay on for drinks and conversation looking over the golfing greens.
