Have your say!

Corowa-based Architects, Regional Design Service have been engaged by Committee members of the Culcairn Community Improvement and Culcairn Healthy Town Committees to undertake a Strategic Masterplanning exercise.

The project seeks to identify and capitalise on the idyllic rural location, historical ties and natural assets for the township’s future through the development of an Architectural Masterplan.

The Masterplan's aim is to:

  • Identify and document buildings, fields, structures, precincts, landmarks and places of interest in and around the township of Culcairn

  • Explore and develop initiatives for the conservation, refurbishment, re-purposing or replacement of buildings, structures, sports fields, courts, amenities, street furniture and hard and soft landscaping elements

  • Map and analyse existing and future vehicular and pedestrian paths and roadways in and around the five identified precincts CBD, Railway, Eastern, Southern, Sport

  • Explore better Visitor Experience opportunities, such as the inclusion of amenities, children’s play areas, RV parking, exercise spaces etc.

  • Explore and develop new opportunities for healthy lifestyle activities - such as improved outdoor exercise experiences, walking paths, bike paths etc.

  • Retain and attract young families by being a visible “Healthy Town”

  • Retain young talent by offering a modern, vibrant and connected design approach to the CBD precinct area

This survey will provide valuable information to the Committees, Council and Regional Design Service.

Your input is valued and will be reflected in the report compiled at the end of the Masterplanning process.
